Halloween Spook? - I remember a little girl screaming so loudly on a bed, the whole shebang was so scary, I wasn't even permitted to watch this show as a kid. Only in recent years, did I watch the re-digitised version of the original Exorcist, and I was still scared. Naturally, I did expect a degree of scaryness but man... I was so wrong.

The Grand Idea was to introduce the personal history of Father Merrin, (this time played by Stellan Skarsgård) and how he came to rescue the life of Regan Teresa MacNeil (Linda Blair) in the original Exorcist.

Having left his religious faith and is now an archaeologist, Merrin was tempted into searching for an evil icon, deep within the African desert. So how does that lead to the original, I hear you say?

Well, the evil within the icon was far stronger than he had anticipated, even turning the villagers against themselves, possessing whomever dared to retrieve its icon. Therefore, Merrin had to search within him and re-embrace his lost faith to help him combat evil. And there you have it !
