Broken dream? - What happenned to Dreamworks after the success of Shrek? I admit the jokes in Shrek weren't too orginal either, but it was still bearable.
A lot of very American jokes were lost on the local (Malaysian) audience too. I'm not saying they understood/enjoyed H2G2 either.
Friends ? - So Alex the Lion (Ben Stiller) only finds his wild side when he is marooned on some island after a runaway act by his bored-of-city-life zoo-mate, Marty the Zebra (Chris Rock). Needless to say, the lion and the zebra are not friends on National Geographic.
Sad Hippo - Jada Pinkett played a very unconvincing Gloria the Hippo in a pink tutu. I only liked one of the scenes involving the hippo. After the publicity of that dancing hippo with crocodiles chasing after it, in one of the good ol' Disney shorts, also featured in Fantasia, Gloria the hippo was sad.
Don't even get me started on Melman the Giraffe. Played by a very Ross-y David Schwimmer, you just felt like smacking the giraffe upside down, even when he was already upside down in sooo many ways.
Bicker bicker bicker! - The show gets worse when these characters start bickering. Gosh, I just wanted to so badly step out of the theatre. But I was hanging on to a very thin thread called hope.
Fire?? - Even the false fire alarm failed to liven things up. :( How sad is that?
Maybe if there really was fire, it might've been cool! Haha.. I was expecting to smell smoke.. *sniff* *sniff*
