Nestled on the upper floors, Riblee's seems to be a well-hidden secret, as they don't even have a signboard! It opens up to a terrace, over-looking the Desa Sri Hartamas business area, perfect for fine dining in the evening.

Starter: Bacon Roll - Carrot and cucumber wrapped with bacon, pan-fried to crispy perfection. Interesting wrap!
Mushroom Soup - Was disappointed to find strands of carrot in the soup! Doubt it was to add to the color either. Hm... creamy, but not quite up to par. My favourite still stands at La Risata :) |
Cheesy Mussels - This was too rich for my liking though it did help mask the strong taste of mussels I don't always like. Served in 2 varieties, the other had some mince meat or other. Needless to say, it was snapped up before I could snap a picture :P
Now for the main dishes..
Pork Belly Salad - The salad is just an excuse to make you feel less guilty! Doesn't work for me to have a scrumplicious fatty piece of pork belly yearning to be eaten.

Baby Back Ribs |
 |
Baby Back Ribs - *the BOMB* Haven't had such gooooood ribs in KL! I could very well finish the whole plate on my own, but I remembered I had to share :(
The ribs were perfecto, magnifique, *speechless* I like it bare, not doused in any sauces to mask the flavour. An occasional tinge of mustard or the house-special chilli was a nice complement too.
Served with corn-on-the-cob and mash potato, the latter which was so good, it gives American Chilli's a run for its money! This dish was so good, we had to have an encore, AND an extra serving of mash! I even had to be quick to get a photo of it!

Peppercorn Fish - Er.. some pepper crusted, more like salt covered.. fish. We didn't like it, though all eight of us took a bite of it and it was gone, before we lodged a complaint. Haha.. much to Ms Leong's chagrin.
Earlier, she had come round to ask us about the food, and we were so satisfied, it was hard to muster a complaint.

Beef in Mushroom Sauce |
Beef in Mushroom Sauce - I still have reservations about this eating beef with creamy mushroom sauce. I've only eaten the combo with chicken. Hm.. weird but quite surprising. You hardly get to taste the flavour of the beef though my friends liked it enough to place another order.
We had order a steak previously, which wasn't up to expectations, so we sent it back, and it was replaced with this beef in mushroom sauce instead. :P I didn't manage to put a dent in the steak.
Chocolate Walnut Cake with Ice Cream - Dessert was soooo good, I was too busy eating and before I remembered to take a shot, the plate was wiped clean! Cake was really moist and soft, ice cream was creamy and not too sweet. You have my word. ;)
Vodka: Absolut Mandarin - Unanimously agreed this flavour was too sweet. Favourite's still Citron. We'll settle for whisky next time!
Everytime I meet up with this bunch of hiking friends, it really feels like home. No matter how far you stray, or how long you've been away, you're always welcomed back with open arms and hugs.
Have been depressingly injured so I've missed out on all the hiking trips, and only met up for dinner twice. I sure miss them!
