3.15am. Condo security guard patrolled upper car park floor when he heard a loud sound. Came back down to see my car attacked, tried to give chase, but failed. Apparently 3 chinese guys, in a white car sped off and rammed through the guard house which didn't have a barrier to prevent the car from leaving the grounds. :(
My car's a real mess, glass everywhere even at the back part of the car, behind the passenger seats where you would put your umbrellas near the speakers! Huge hole where my windshield used to be. The glass is really thick, I wonder how long they took or hard a throw it must've been. My carpark's below my unit, at a secluded corner at an angle on ground level near the main access road on the way out of the condo due to the one-way system.
Money tray in tact, road tax in tact, set of house keys still there, radio, umbrella!!. Everything except my condo car park sticker and Touch and Go (electronic money) card. Seriously! Wouldn't it have been easier to break the small window? Even road tax is more valuable.
5.30am. I heard someone knocking on my door, but didn't know who it was, and I was scared, so I dared not open my door. Waited til morning. Figured even if there was a theft or something regarding my car or neighbour, there's nothing I could do at that point of time to make a difference.
The previous night, at 4.30am, I heard a loud bang, and sounded like a couple arguing and shouting. I didn't get much sleep and thought this knocking on my door could be a continuation from that incident.
Back from the police station, just feel like jus wanna sit in one corner and cry or vanish or jus go to sleep and suddenly wake up to make this nightmare go away.
The police lady obviously doesn't drive nor own a car. I asked her what do I have to replace my car's road tax, what report do I need to give the Road Transport Dept etc. She scolded me for not having mentioned my road tax in the report I lodged and wanted me to lodge a separate report. Gave me a dirty look when I asked her to cancel and lodge another report. Said she couldn't edit the report after print, but I saw later that she did!
She asked me weird questions like, 'Is your road tax valid?' though earlier she asked me to drive my car to the station. I tried to explain that the road tax is a sticker attached to the windshield and you can't just pull it off without destroying it. She still didn't seem to understand.
My precioussssssss...bad things happen in threes, eh? As the saying goes. Two weeks ago, I smashed my right side mirror against a pillar, a few days later my radiator overheated. My car's so old I was planning to repair the radiator and sell it off by end of year.
Sigh, gonna have to take unpaid leave for not turning up to work today, since we can't take annual leave (which has been allotted to Aug & Dec only which is also against labour law!) Will need to find a way to go to the doctor's later and get a medical certificate. I'm claiming Depression!
Gonna have to shift ASAP. Doesn't seem safe to stay here. Don't even get me talking about the elevators in my block! Wanna house me? :D
