Butt pain, shoulder pain - Body Pump (weights) and Muay Thai Marathon @ Combat is probably the best recipe for exhaustion and pain. Nothing like killing those fat cells. 2 days on, and I'm still feeling those aches in those places.
Don't ask me what possessed instructor Wai Hong to bring out the best in us during Body Combat. It was also a good thing he forgot to bring his cd with the 12 Muay Thai tracks pre-arranged back to back. That gave us a slight breather in between tracks, but still not enough for recovery. Had to go into active recovery mode, punching, kicking and jumping more lightly than usual.
FYI, the Muay Thai track is the most taxing in Body Combat. With lotsa jump-knee action, which can whip the breath outta you till you can't tell 1 from 2, nor left from right. It's normally the 2nd last track right before a 'power training' track to push that last 110% outta ya.
It's intense! but I love it. Still goin for a game of Ulty @ PJ in this hot sun. I'm so gonna be a shade darker.
Where's the rain???
