Relax! Take It Easy

May 14 2007 - This is a self-reminder to take it easy on your right ankle! Adrenaline junkie's trying to hit the wall fast and furious.

Had to attend my sister's bday dinner, therefore I couldn't do Advanced Step and only had a 1.5hr window which included Body Pump. Found a treadmill, on my right, Mr Running Fast, on my left, Mr Catching Up. After 2 minutes of walking, I got tempted and joined them for a run, 3-2 interval at speeds 8.0-9.0. Big mistake :(

Run like the wind! - It felt real good to know I still had the (slow) speed. I was light on the feet, good posture, arms swaying. Good to be back. Only for 15 minutes though, as my right ankle started to throb and hurt, though I had my ankle brace on. Sigh.

Patience is a virtue, I do not have.

Walked straight into Body Pump, instructor Ronald wasn't doin the new tracks though. Had a whiff of JT's Sexy Back as the tricep track, and it was oh, so painful! Been feeling sore in my butt and thighs after Pump these days. Am I getting there, JLo? ;)

Been back in Body Pump, and it feels good. Still easy on the weights, changed my posture in the Squat track, and lower back doesn't hurt anymore. Think I've been pushing my posture too far back. :( Right wrist doesn't protest anymore, watching my position and weights still.

Miss my running friends as I still can't run on road. I've been playing Ultimate on grass, it's fine as I only play 2 points and I get off for another 2.

Back to basics :( Swim. Low impact exercises. If you must run, do flats! Treadmill 3-2 intervals at 7.0 and 8.0 ? Aunty speed :(

This adrenaline junkie loves hitting adrenaline high!
