3 Jul 2004 - It's 9.30am on a Saturday. *groan* Did I mention I'm not a morning person, especially on weekends when I'm not out hiking? Overslept as expected, but made it just in time for breakfast at gym anyway.
Food galore! - Can you imagine having spaghetti for breakfast?? What more Potato Salad! I still say it's a conspiracy to fatten up the participants of this challenge. The watermelon served looked pale and needed to be painted red severely! Needless to say I didn't even touch it. Sad.
Tony the Tiger! - Haha.. no cereal of any kind could be found, nor milk. :( I could only manage half a cup of orange juice (made from cordial), a piece of white bread with some baked beans and scrambled eggs incognito! Don't ask!
Poor turnout - I heard not many participants had turned up and when I was there, only 4 others were, besides Prabha, our 'Chief'. Picked his brain on how he lost weight and buffed up for his body building competitions. He really looks good now, not extreme like those you see on telly.
Conversation soon turned to food, and we all realised we have to give up on food which actually tastes good! hehe.. for the duration of this challenge at least. But, you only live once! So make sure you satisfy your cravings, in moderation. :) A keyword I often shoot right into outer-space! LOL.. especially with durian... hm... ;)
Self-comparison - Prabha pulled out my 'lab rat' measurements of week1 and week3. Body fat remained the same, whilst body weight, hip and waist measurements dropped a little. *Victory dance*
Abominable goal! - Think I shall set a goal of losing 10kg (in weight), would be easier if you'd just kill me now :P What other realistic goals, should I be setting? Time to re-read 'Body For Life' and re-strategise.
Jamaican Pump - Time's a wastin.. and I headed for an 'easy' workout in Body Pump, gotta check out our new instructor, Vincent! He's huge! His thigh muscles are like... tree trunks! He looks n sounds kinda Jamaican to me, and sounded like Doug E. Doug in Cool Runnings. Boy, I love that show.
Gotta keep focused.. think Bali...
