Pilates .. Pee-lah-teez

Jan 12 2005 - I've managed to attend Pilates classes since the start of the year. Yay! A total body workout, especially on the Core Muscle Group. More intense than yoga I say!

Mat burn? - Yeah, somehow I suffered a Yoga Mat burn on my left elbow, I assure you, first of its kind. :P

Today, instructor Vincent had us doing 90 degree formations with the wall, kinda forming a 7 with your body, legs on top, touching the wall. Extreme i know.. but I finaly got the position and lasted all of maybe 2 seconds! Hey, dat's a lot!

Last week, Vincent had us doing these two exercises in the picture below. O was such a failure at the ball. Balancing was extremely difficult.

That looks easy! - An easier position was to do the plank position with both legs up on the ball. Easy enough until I was told to lift one leg off the ball! Crash, boom, bang! You really have to engaged your core muscles.

Persevere and I shall be able to do this position with ease soon enough, without falling over. LOL
